Passages is a stop motion animation that was commissioned for Light Up Dún Laoghaire. It was projected onto dlr LexIcon in October 2021 along with five other new animations. The two animated landscapes depict Fairy Castle, the summit of Two Rock Mountain and Dún Laoghaire harbour and coastline. Passages refers to the passage tomb at Fairy Castle, Two Rock Mountain; the passage of time and the journeys made to and from these places. Paper cutouts loop across and back through the landscape and also act as a snapshot of daily activities in these places.

The commission was funded by Creative Ireland and supported and managed by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council ArtsOffice.
